The Houston MBA Chapter invites you to A Conversation with Charles Miller, former chairman of The University of Texas Board of Regents. Charles, a University of Texas at Austin alumnus, will share with us his role on the Board of Regents as its chairman and his expertise on the governance of the university system and its relations with the legislature, the Texas governor, the chancellor, and university presidents.
Charles is retired after a highly successful career in investment management. He currently serves on the National Commission on College and University Governance Board. Previously, he was chair of the National Commission on the Future of Higher Education; the Governor’s Select Committee on Public Education; the Texas State Pension Review Board; the University of Houston Foundation; and the Greater Houston Partnership. He was the founding chairman of the Texas Educational Economic Policy Center and the Charter School Resource Center of Texas. And, he was also a member of the Board of Visitors of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
The cost is $40 per person and includes dinner. A cash bar will also be available. Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance.
